About China Ocean Freight

A China ocean desk: filed rates, delivered duty paid where we run it, 170+ discharge ports.

Who We Are

We are an ocean-first forwarder working out of China. The point of this site is that you can see a number before you have to ask anyone for one.

The calculator carries 130+ channels into Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas, refreshed from the carrier rate sheets filed with us โ€” indicative price feeds so you always see real market rates.

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is our core product, but it is not available everywhere โ€” the lanes we run it on are listed below. Beyond freight we handle sourcing from Chinese factories, quality control, warehousing and custom packaging, from a single parcel to a full container.

Where DDP Is Actually Available

DDP is not a coverage map we can wave at everything. Where we cannot file the entry ourselves we say so rather than quote it and disappoint you later.

Core DDP lanes

Europe ยท United States ยท Australia ยท United Kingdom ยท Canada

Full double-clearance, tax-paid, door-to-door service (ๅŒๆธ…ๅŒ…็จŽ้—จๅˆฐ้—จ).

  • โœˆ๏ธAirFastest lane, 5โ€“10 days door to door
  • ๐ŸšขSeaBest cost per kg on volume, 25โ€“50 days
  • ๐Ÿš‚RailEurope-bound middle ground, 18โ€“28 days
  • ๐ŸššTruck / deliveryLast-mile to the door included

Duty, import VAT or GST and the last mile are already inside the figure. Nobody knocks on the door asking for more.

Specialist lanes

Japan & Russia

  • ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต Japan โ€” air & sea Double-clearance, tax-paid, delivered to the door.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ Russia โ€” road Overland double-clearance, tax-paid, delivered to the door.

Both sit on dedicated channels outside the general DDP network. Transit and cargo restrictions differ โ€” check with us before you build a schedule on them.

Everywhere else

Other regions

Express and sea freight as standard. DDP is available on some countries but not all.

  • ๐Ÿ“ฆExpressDoor to door, duties billed to you or prepaid
  • ๐ŸšขSea freightTo port, or to door where we have coverage
  • โ“DDPCountry-by-country โ€” please ask

Name the destination and the commodity and you get it in writing, before you place the order, whether that lane runs duty paid.

Ask about your destination โ†’

A note on terminology: under Incoterms 2020, DDP means we carry the cost and risk to your named address including import clearance, duty and import tax. Where we quote express or sea freight instead, the destination charges are handled separately and we will say so on the quotation rather than leaving you to find out at the border.

Why Choose China Ocean Freight

๐Ÿ”

Transparent Pricing

On our duty-paid lanes the figure carries the freight, the duty, the import tax and the delivery. Stated at the front, not discovered at the back.

โšก

Real-Time Data

The rate table is built from carrier filings rather than from an index, so what you are reading is the trade and not an average of it.

๐ŸŒ

DDP Where We Run It

Sea, rail and road into 170+ discharge ports. DDP โ€” all duties and taxes included โ€” on our core lanes; elsewhere port-to-port with clearance handled by our local broker, and we say which up front.

๐Ÿค

Personal Service

One person owns your file โ€” the same person who books the space and chases the terminal.

๐Ÿญ

China Sourcing

Where it helps, we also source from the factory, inspect before it ships, and send it on to your buyer.

๐Ÿ“Š

Live Tracking

Milestones from the China warehouse to the consignee door, on the box number rather than a parcel barcode.

Where We Load

The load ports our bookings leave from. Which one your cargo sails out of comes down to where the factory sits, the mode, and what space the week actually has.

How we work

What we handle ourselves

Plenty of forwarders are a rate desk with everything behind it sub-contracted. These are the parts we do not hand off, because they are the parts that go wrong.

Origin consolidation

Warehouse space at the load ports where multiple suppliers are received, checked against the packing list, and loaded into one container.

Export documentation

Declarations, certificates of origin and the bill of lading, prepared by people who have seen how each destination reads them.

Carrier allocation

Contracted space with the mainline carriers and NVOCCs on our core lanes, so a confirmed booking means confirmed space.

Destination clearance

Licensed brokers in every market we quote, vetted before they touch a shipment and re-screened annually.

Final delivery

Door delivery arranged at destination, including tail-lift and appointment bookings where the address needs them.

One point of contact

The person who quoted your shipment is the person who tells you it sailed. No handover to an inbox.

Process

How a shipment runs, start to finish

Six steps. The only ones that need anything from you are the first and the last.

  1. 1

    Tell us the cargo

Commodity, cartons, weight and dimensions, the load port and the delivery address. If you have an HS code, send it; if not, we will classify it.

  2. 2

    Rate and routing

Sailing options with real transit and cut-off dates, priced FCL and LCL side by side where both make sense.

  3. 3

    Booking and collection

Space confirmed, container released, haulage arranged at the factory, export declaration filed.

  4. 4

    On the water

Bill of lading issued and checked. You get the departure confirmation and the arrival window, not silence.

  5. 5

    Clearance

Entry filed by a licensed broker in the destination market. Duty and VAT settled as quoted.

  6. 6

    Delivery

Final leg to the door, with free time watched so demurrage does not appear on the invoice.

The entry is our job too, not somebody else's problem

We file import entries in 160 markets โ€” classification, valuation, duty and tax settlement and release โ€” through licensed brokers in the destination country. Every one of them is verified before they touch a shipment: licence checked with the issuing authority, insurance on file, references called, and supervised trial entries before unsupervised volume.
